Woman in black evening dress (back)Jane & Marilyn's fashion creations are 'grown up glamour for real women'. Gorgeous silk, wool and cotton dresses influenced by the 1950s. Think Grace Kelly in High Society. Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina.

Natalie sat next to Jane at a Sister Snog lunch and there was an instant affinity. Both share a love of retro fashion. Both adore the 1950s lifestyle.

So, when Natalie mentioned she always attracts media attention at Ascot in her balloon hats, Jane asked if she'd wear a Jane & Marilyn dress to Ladies Day. Natalie took the colour and name of the fabulous 'Peacock' dress as inspiration for her hat, which gave her a great opportunity to mention the dress when talking to the media. And she certainly attracted a great deal of media interest : the next day, photographs of her appeared in 15 online media sites, including footage on BBC TV.

"With Natalie's wonderful sense of style, I knew our 'Peacock' dress was a perfect fit. The amazing media attention she got resulted in direct name mentions for the Jane & Marilyn brand in the Daily Mail, Express, Independent and Mirror. A fantastic PR opportunity. Thanks to the catalyst of Sister Snog."

Laura Thomson (@laurattrainer) received an email from her client, The Notting Hill Housing Trust, asking if she could recommend an IT trainer. Naturally she could. Fellow Sister, Valerie Merill. The ideal person to give Microsoft Office training.

The result? Valerie now has 12 days' work lined up. Teaching Office 2003, 2007 and 2010.

That's what Sister Snog is all about. Providing opportunities. Making introductions. Opening doors. For one another.

"As a member of Sister Snog you have a brilliant bunch of like-minded business women. At your fingertips. Who keep an eye out for each other. That's why Sister Snog rocks."

"Jo's enthusiasm and interpretation of the brief is spot on, making her an invaluable part of the Grey Interiors team. Our first project has delivered an immediate WOW factor. If it hadn't been for Sister Snog we may have never discovered this charismatic working relationship."

Art by Design
The setting was a Sister Snog First Friday lunch.  Jo and Sarah were seated together. By design. Jo inspired Sarah when she explained her graphics background and its connection to her art.

Sarah loved Jo's commercial approach which dovetails brilliantly with work place design. Jo's art connects to Grey's interior design and the philosophy of the client's brand.

The result. Art for offices with Jo Gilbert and Grey Interiors. Inspiration and motivation in the work place.

"Turning up at that Brainstorming Breakfast marked the start of a brilliant working relationship. Myfanwy and I have since referred a number of clients to each other. That's the magic of Sister Snog."

Brief Encounter
It started with a tweet from Myfanwy. That was retweeted by @sistersnogger. About the tax benefits of setting up an LLP. Which led to Berg Kaprow Lewis landing a new client. Hurrah!

Turned out their affairs were quite complex. Needing help with international tax implications as well as start up issues. One being drafting an LLP agreement.

Myfanwy met Rina at a Brainstorming Breakfast. Strategic matching is key at all Sister Snog events. Accountants and solicitors. Natural allies. Guess who sat next to who over smoked salmon and scrambled eggs?

The brief encounter over breakfast resulted in a new client for Curry Popeck and a flow of referrals on both sides. Tasty!

"Joining Sister Snog has been inspirational for me and great for my business. This is my 3rd year as a member. That speaks volumes."

Jacq Burns, Literary Agent Extraordinaire. Met Susan Moore, award winning Virtual Assistant. Over the course of a number of Sister Snog events. A slow burner that has now resulted in a new client for Susan and an invaluable resource for Jacq.

MooreVA is now www.publishabestseller.com's right hand woman. Managing her diary. Marketing The London Writers Club. Keeping authors on track. And dealing with those must-do-don't-want-to-do-tasks. Write on!

Tiptoe with the times
There’s a new breed of entrepreneur. The 5-9er. And Janan Leo fits snugly into that category. CocoRose London, with their concept of folding shoes, is an innovative brand that delivers style and elegance.

Sister Snog was the catalyst that led to CocoRose hitting the headlines last autumn. Being featured in a promotional email started a chain reaction. A feature in the Sunday Times and The Times online then led to Reuters picking up the story. Fame costs. But keep the right company and it’s amazing how many doors can open.
